This Saturday, put on your lederhosen and join the Nationals for the first-ever Oktoberfest-themed game at Nationals Park! The first 20,000 fans (ages 21 and up) who enter the ballpark through all gates will receive a Nationals Beer Stein presented by Budweiser.

There will be plenty of exciting Oktoberfest-themed entertainment for fans before the team takes on the Phillies. Beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Edelweiss Band and the Bavarian & Austrian Dance Company will perform in Center Field Plaza. Since their country hosts the real Oktoberfest every year in Munich, the Embassy of Germany will be at the ballpark to celebrate the event (the embassy is even bringing their own photo station). In addition, the Racing Presidents will be outfitted in Oktoberfest-themed costumes for the Presidents Race at the middle of the fourth inning!

If you’re looking for a taste of Germany, the Nationals will be selling special Oktoberfest-themed food items at concession stands throughout the park. Fans can find the Munich Brat at Senator Sausage Carts in Sections 108, 134, 224 and 308. The Munich Brat is topped with braised red cabbage and brown mustard, and served on a pretzel bun. Sauerkraut Balls (fried potato and sauerkraut) will be served with spicy mustard and featured at the Grand Slam Grill in Sections 111 and 141, Georgetown Grill in Section 130 and South Capitol Grill in Section 211. At these locations, fans can also find Currywurst, bratwurst skewers served over French fries, topped with curry ketchup. Finally, pretzel bites will be served with a house-made beer cheese dipping sauce at Taste of the Majors Stands in Sections 115 and 314.

Fans who would like to watch or participate in interactive games should head to Center Field Plaza, where Inside Pitch Live will pick a select number of fans to take part in Oktoberfest-themed competitions like a barrel roll, pretzel eating contest and stein hoisting competition. The games will begin around 6:20 p.m.

We hope to see you at the ballpark on Saturday for this exciting event!
