$1 Ice Cream Treats on Wednesday at Nationals Park
With D.C.’s hot summer days and nights, Nationals Park provides several ways for fans to cool down. The tastiest? Ice cream, of course.
During tomorrow’s game against the Cleveland Indians, fans will pay just $1 for select ice cream novelties at all Nats Dog stands until the start of the sixth inning, or while supplies last.
In celebration of tomorrow’s $1 Ice Cream Day presented by Good Humor, we’ve put together an extensive list of the places where fans can find cold treats at Nationals Park.
Fans can find Good Humor Novelties, Breyer’s ice cream and Nationals Helmet Sundaes at the Breyer’s Ice Cream concession stands in Sections 115 and 129. Last year, over 26,000 Nationals Helmet Sundaes were sold at Nats Park, which is an average of 330 sundaes per game!
If you prefer soft serve ice cream, Sweet Spot and Frozen Rope both feature soft serve, in either a cone or a mini Nationals helmet, as well as Good Humor Novelties. Frozen Rope can be found in Section 136, and Sweet Spot is located in Section 310. So far this season over 20,000 soft serve ice creams have been sold.
In addition to traditional ice cream, Nationals Park is home to several other frozen treats. Fans can find their favorite Dippin’ Dots flavors in Sections 127, 134, 201 and 227, refreshing varieties of Leilani’s Shaved Ice in Sections 141 and 235, and dipped ice cream at Capitol Creamery in Section 215.
Nationals Park is also home to four Dolci Gelati stands, featuring traditional Italian gelato. Earlier this year, the Nationals’ gelato vendor, Gianluigi Dellaccio, won honors at the Gelato World Tour. His gelato not only won an award at this year’s competition in Chicago, which included 16 finalists from both North and South America, but also earned Dellaccio a ticket to the Grand Finale of the Gelato World Tour in Rimini, Italy in 2017. Dolci Gelati can be found in Sections 112, 136, 231 and 307.
Dellaccio also makes the gelato used in the babka ice cream sandwiches, only available at On Rye in the Norfolk Southern Club. Babka ice cream sandwiches are new to Nationals Park this season, but they are already a fan favorite!
Next time you’re at Nationals Park, make sure to cool down with a treat from one of these locations, and don’t forget to join us for $1 Ice Cream Day tomorrow!
