YOU CAN FIND HIM ON BASE
Nationals LF Jayson Werth doubled in the seventh inning on Tuesday, extending his current on-base streak to 23 games — the longest active streak in the Major Leagues, and the fourth-longest of Werth’s career (29 games, Aug. 21-Sept. 20, 2015)…During this stretch, Werth has collected 18 hits and 23 walks.

WHERE THINGS STAND
The Nationals dropped the opener of this three game set to the Dodgers on Tuesday night, falling 8-4…Despite the loss, Washington is still an MLB-best 13-6 in their last 19 games, dating to June 26 when the Nationals snapped their season-long seven-game losing at Milwaukee, and are outscoring opponents 99-58.

  • The Nationals’ 56-38 (.596) record is good for the third-best record in the Major Leagues, behind only the Chicago Cubs (56-37, .602) and San Francisco Giants (57-37, .606).

KODA COMETH
The Nationals selected the contract of RHP Koda Glover from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday…The 22-year-old’s rise through the Nationals’ system has been meteoric as he began the 2016 season with Single-A Potomac before promotions to Double-A Harrisburg, Triple-A Syracuse and, now, the Major Leagues…Glover, an eighth-round selection in the 2015 First-Year Player Draft becomes just the second member of that class to make the Major Leagues…CWS first-round pick, RHP Carson Fulmer, made his MLB debut on July 17.
