RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD
After falling, 7-6, in walk-off fashion Tuesday night to the Royals, the Nationals return to Kauffman Stadium this afternoon in the rubber match of this three-game set…Following the game, Washington will travel to Chicago to begin a four-game weekend series with the Cubs.
- The Nationals’ current road trip took them from St. Louis (three-game sweep), across the state to Kansas City (1-1) and will finish with a four-game series in Chicago.
- This is the first of two 10-game road trips for Washington in 2016…The Nationals will travel to San Diego (4 G), Los Angeles (3 G) and Milwaukee (3 G) from June 16-26.
