Nationals manager, coaches and players visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Wednesday
As part of the Nationals’ commitment to the military community, Nationals Manager Dusty Baker, coaches and players visited service members and their families at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Wednesday morning.
The team spent time with wounded veterans working on their physical therapy in the Military Advanced Training Center, listening to stories from the front lines and their individual journeys to recovery. Additionally, a group of players and coaches made a special trip to the pediatric cancer ward to surprise a few military children.
Afterwards, the team joined active duty service members and their families at the USO Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda for photos and autographs.
