  • Ian Desmond’s game-winning solo home run, which snapped a 3-3 tie in the seventh inning on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies was his seventh go-ahead home run hit in the seventh inning or later, dating to the beginning of the 2012 season. Among shortstops, only Jhonny Peralta (3) has more than two such homers in the same time span.
