On the Postseason Train

With Thursday night’s 7-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies, the Nationals reduced their magic number to three with six games to play in the regular season. But Washington already punched its first postseason ticket since the franchise’s relocation to the Nation’s Capital, marking the first playoff team in Washington D.C. since 1933. Keep an eye out for the video below throughout the 2012 Postseason as the Nationals look to ride this train as far as it will take them.

My cover pic on Facebook is of the Jumbotron with my guy Ryan Zimmerman at bat. LOVE LOVE LOVE me some postseason!!!!!!!!

I’ve been a baseball fan from the moment my dad gave me a baseball glove when i was 4 years old. I watched others with envy as they rooted for their ball club. Sure, I rooted for Griffey and his sweet swing. I hated the evil empire that was the NY Yankees. And I smiled to watch Cal Ripken Jr. break Gehrig’s record but I never had a team of my own to root for in September & October. So, I was giddy when there were talks of baseball in the DC area, and it finally happened in 2005. I’ve been loyal to the point where I checked the box score everyday if I had not watched the game the night before. And sure we hadn’t been good up until this year, but what this ball club has done is nothing short of wonderful. I’ve shed a tear right now reflecting on how glorious a ride this season has been.

WoW, this is my team! My team! And I couldn’t be prouder about rocking the Red and I’m always ready to put another Curly ‘W’ in the books. I can’t wait for the roller coaster that is October baseball and hopefully we can raise a Curly ‘W’ Pennant up at Nats Park!
