Nats wrap up home schedule against Braves

It’s the last home game of the season here at Nationals Park, and the Nats are looking to finish with flourish against the Atlanta Braves. They have the opportunity to take the series today behind lefty Ross Detwiler, who faces Mike Minor in the final matinee of the 2011 season.

*Danny Espinosa is just the third rookie second baseman to hit 20 or more home runs in his freshman campaign. The other two are Dan Uggla, who hit 27 in 2006, and Alexi Ramirez, who hit 21 in 2008.

*With 43 wins at home, the Nationals have set a new single-season record for wins in DC.

*The Nats are 14-9 so far in September and have secured their second winning month of the season. The other was June, where they went 17-10.
