*Ryan Mattheus, who has been on the Disabled List with a sore right shoulder since August 26, threw a simulated game yesterday and told the media he felt good about it, though Manager Davey Johnson reported that the right-hander’s velocity is not where he wants it. There is still no definitive word on if Mattheus will return to the bullpen before the season ends.

*Jayson Werth has hit nine doubles, a triple and seven home runs for 40 RBI against the Marlins in his career.
