Homestand wraps up in series finale

Back-to-back home runs on consecutive pitches by Laynce Nix and Jonny Gomes last night put the Nats on the board late, but the rally was stifled by the D-Backs’ closer. Tonight, DC has a chance to split the series and finish the homestand strong. John Lannan gets the call tonight.
