Nats-Braves, Game 1

After winning last night’s game in dramatic style to take the series against the New York Mets, the Nationals will look to continue that momentum into tonight’s series opener against the Braves. Livan Hernandez takes the mound against Jair Jurrjens.

*Washington today unconditionally released OF/INF Matt Stairs. In 56 games with DC, Stairs batted .154 with two RBI and one double this season.

*In his last 10 games, Jayson Werth is batting .333 with two home runs and nine RBI.
