Nats-Bucs, Game 1

After finishing a short road trip, the Nats return home to play 11 games over 10 days. Tonight, they face the Pittsburgh Pirates to start their second home series against the Bucs this season. Tom Gorzelanny takes the mound against his former team.

*Today, the Nationals reinstated outfielder Rick Ankiel from the disabled list and placed Jerry Hairston Jr., on the DL. Ankiel went 2-for-9 with two runs scored, a double, two walks and a stolen base in his three-game rehab assignment in Syracuse.

*Against the Pirates, Gorzelanny is 2-1 with a 3.44 ERA and 13 strikeouts.
