The Battle of the Beltways’ finale

Tom Gorzelanny makes his first start after coming off the disabled list today, as the Nats look to sweep the Orioles right back up the parkway to Baltimore and extend their win streak to nine games in a row. Rick Ankiel was placed on the disabled list with a left intercostal strain in the same roster move.

*Ian Desmond’s personal hit streak ended at 11 games, as he went 0-for-4 yesterday afternoon. Today he gets the day off, with Cora getting the start at short.
